The Hawkins School of Performing Arts Annual Showcase will be held on Thursday, June 22 at 7pm and Saturday June 24 at 9am, 11am, 1pm, 3pm, 5pm, and 7pm, with a SPECIAL 30th Anniversary performance on Friday, June 23 at 7pm. The venue for the 2017 Showcase and the dress rehearsal will be the Jill Solberg Theater located on the Folsom High School campus, 1655 Iron Point Road, Folsom CA.
Each participating class will perform one number, in one show. We endeavor to keep families in either the same show or back to back shows, but we ask that you keep these dates and times open as we are not able to honor requests, or guarantee preferable placement for specific shows due to the number of pieces being performed. Any age class may be scheduled at any time, with the exception of the 5 year old and under classes, which will not be placed in the evening performances.
A necessary dress rehearsal to familiarize the dancers with the facility and the stage will be held the week of Showcase, Tuesday – Thursday June 20th-22nd, between 8:00 am and 3:00 pm. We ask that you block off this week until specific times are determined. The exact times for each individual class will be announced in late April.
Showcase participation fee is $50 for each participating family regardless of how many performances they are in or how many dancers are in the family. This fee helps defray the costs associated with dress rehearsal, performance expenses, theater rental and the two programs that will be provided to each family.
Showcase Fees - Please submit a completed and signed Showcase Fee form to the office by February 6, 2017- one completed form per family. Additional forms can be downloaded from the Hawkins website and are available in the front office. Accounts will not be charged and/or checks cashed for Showcase Fees until March 14th, 2017. If payment has not been made by this date, your account will be automatically charged the $50 fee. All accounts must be current for showcase participation.
Each family may purchase up to 6 tickets at $5 each for every performance in which their dancer(s) participates. After families have had an opportunity to purchase tickets in the studio May 30-June 10, remaining tickets will be available for sale online starting June 12 at www.brownpapertickets.com. A link to ticket sales will be located on the Hawkins website.
Costume forms are due to your instructor by February 15, 2017. To avoid late charges, please turn in your costume form with check or credit card authorization. Forms turned in after February 25 cannot be guaranteed the costume will arrive in time for Showcase.
Showcase information will be updated here as information becomes available. Please plan to check the bulletin boards in the lobby of Hawkins in early May for show lineups and to confirm your child’s participation and spelling of their name.
