Hawkins School Policies

Office Hours
Monday – Friday 3:30pm to 8:45pm
Saturday 9:00am to noon

Registration
A non-refundable registration fee of $25.00 per student ($40.00 per family) is due upon registration and each July 1st there after.  If student discontinues classes, re-registration will be required to resume.

Tuition
Tuition is collected by EFT (electronic funds transfer) by debit or credit card and will be completed on the 3rd of each month.  Tuition will be assessed unless the school is notified IN WRITING by the 15th of the prior month of the student’s intent to discontinue.

No adjustments will be made for vacations, holidays, or missed classes. There are no tuition refunds.

Students may makeup any missed classes in any appropriate age and level class within 60 days and only if currently enrolled.  No refunds.

Dance Rates
(Multiple class rates apply to individual student or per family).
1 hour/week $52.00/month
2 hours/week $96.00/month
3 hours/week $129.00/month
4 hours/week $152.00/month
5 hours/week $175.00/month
6 hours/week $192.00/month
7 hours/week $210.00/month
additional hours (above 7) add: $16.00/month/hour
additional 1/2 hours/week $ 10.00/month
Single Class $ 15.00

Instructors are available for private dance classes or staging a choreography.  Fees vary per instructor.

12 week sessions  $156.00

Dress Code

Ballet
GIRLS: Class ages 3-8; Pink Hawkins Signature Leotard, Capezio pink child convertible #1816C tights and pink ballet slippers. Class ages 8-17; Black Hawkins Signature Leotard. Capezio pink convertible tights #1816.  Hawkins Signature Leotard may be ordered at the front desk.

IF HAIR IS LONG IT MUST BE WRAPPED IN A BUN.

BOYS: White T-shirt; black tights, jazz pants, or bike shorts; white socks and white ballet slippers.

Jazz
Leotards and tights of student’s color choice, jazz pants, or bike shorts (no sloppy clothing).  Footwear may be ballet slippers or jazz shoes. If hair is long it should be wrapped in a bun.

Tap
Ballet or Jazz Attire. Black tap shoes.

Performing Groups & Recital Pieces
Ballet: Capezio Pink convertible tights #1816. (available through Discount Dance Supply, 1-800-328-7107)
Jazz & Tap: Capezio “Light Suntan” convertible tights #1816.

Acting & Voice
Loose clothing and soft-soled shoes.

Hip Hop
Loose clothing that will not restrict movement (dance pants). Clean tennis shoes or dance sneakers.  Knee Pads.

Musical Theatre
Jazz attire.

Strength/Conditioning
Comfortable fitting clothes, jazz or ballet slippers or clean tennis shoes. Bring a mat.

Holidays
The studio will be closed for the following 2010/2011 holidays and vacations:

Labor Day,  September 4 – September 6, 2010

Thanksgiving,  November 23 – 28, 2010

Winter Break,  December 20 – January 2, 2011

Martin Luther King Jr. Day,  January 17, 2011

Presidents’ Weekend,  February 19 – 21, 2011

Spring Break,  April 18 – 24, 2011

Memorial Weekend,  May 29 – 31, 2011
