HAWKINS SHOWCASE
Students enrolled in dance, musical theater, acrobatics and vocals classes have the opportunity to work with their teachers and choreographers to bring a showpiece to the stage.

Students of all ages and abilities have the opportunity to perform in a real theater with a live audience
The Hawkins Showcase is a collection of shows typically held at the Jill Solberg Performing Arts Center at the conclusion of the school season in mid-June. The shows are a special way for young students to experience a stage performance in front of family and friends. Prior to general public sales, tickets are allocated and available to families. Individual and group photos, as well as performance videos may be offered as well.
Hawkins Performing Companies & Troupes
Hawkins invites dancers looking to train more seriously to audition for our Companies or Troupes. These programs combine advanced technique, increased time commitment, choreography, and additional performance opportunities throughout the season. For the 2024-2025 season, Hawkins will have the following:

If for some reason you will miss or have missed an audition and are still interested in one of our performing troupes or companies, please contact the office to discuss options for working directly with the artistic director.
Pre-Professional Opportunity
While all the companies offer advanced-level training and performances, the Hawkins Contemporary Jazz Company (HCJC) also offers a pre-professional track where dancers have unique opportunities to work outside Hawkins with industry professionals and the Sacramento Contemporary Dance Company (SCDT). The Pre-Professional level has an additional set of audition requirements and is reserved for those who demonstrate technical and artistic competence, as well as an additional commitment.
