Open Program
Open Program
Our Open Program promotes the joy of movement at every level, allowing performers to choose their preferred disciplines (ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, musical theater, acting and voice) and build an individual schedule that fits their needs, giving students the opportunity to learn, grow, and express themselves at their own pace. Our Open Program invites all ages and stages of life from youngsters ages 3+ to (ageless) seniors.
Students enrolled in classes marked with (W) or (S) on the schedule also have the opportunity to perform in our Winter Works production in December and our annual June Showcase. These exciting productions, held at the Jill Solberg Performing Arts Center, give performers the chance to share their passion and progress with family and friends.
For those who choose to participate in these performances, the experience includes the excitement of stage performance, complete with class-specific costume and professional photos to capture their journey.

HPAC
Hawkins Performing arts company
Hawkins invites dancers seeking more intensive training and performance opportunities to audition for the Hawkins Performing Arts Company (HPAC). This program is designed to develop versatile performers offering training across multiple dance disciplines, guided by a highly skilled team of directors and dedicated teachers committed to enhancing each dancer’s technique, artistry, and performance quality.
In addition to regular classes, company dancers benefit from specialized training, master classes and choreography with guest instructors and renowned choreographers. Dancers also gain valuable stage experience through many performance opportunities such as competitions, community events, and annual Hawkins productions.
Being part of HPAC requires dedication, discipline, and commitment to growth. This program is built on the foundation of teamwork, accountability, and artistic excellence, encouraging dancers to set goals, work hard, and support one another as they grow both technically and artistically.
We offer multiple levels to meet dancers at different stages of their training, providing the right balance of challenge and support to foster growth. For the 2025-2026 season, Hawkins will offer the following HPAC levels:
Pre-Professional (HIGH SCHOOL ages 14+)
Elite (ages 12+)
Junior (ages 9+)
Petite (ages 7+)
Mini (ages 6+)
Pre-Company (ages 5+)
Classical Ballet Program
pre-professional Classical
ballet program
The Hawkins Pre-Professional Classical Ballet Program is designed for dedicated ballet dancers who wish to focus intensively on classical ballet training to refine their technique and artistry. This program provides a structured curriculum emphasizing ballet technique and pointe work, preparing dancers to achieve their individual ballet goals in a supportive and rigorous environment under the guidance of our experienced ballet instructors. By placement only.
Classical Ballet dancers have the opportunity to perform in The Nutcracker and Showcase, with separate production fees. If dancers participate in these productions, additional fees will apply for costuming. Dancers will be encouraged to follow the ballet technique and pointe curriculum. Dancers in the (PPCB) program may also participate in ballet competitions with instructor approval.
