Company and Troupe Auditions for the 2024-2025 Season
Interested in taking your dance or performance skills to the next level?
Hawkins invites dancers looking to train more seriously to audition for our Companies or Troupes. These programs combine advanced technique, increased time commitment, choreography, and additional performance opportunities throughout the season.

Troupes and companies require an added level of commitment by each participant, and required classes will be communicated to parents and students. Auditions ensure students are placed at the optimal level by the artistic director based on their current skill level.

All Auditions
The audition fee is $20 per audition, and is payable during the registration process (in advance).
Day of Audition
All participants should have dancewear appropriate for their discipline. Ballet dancers age 12+ should bring pointe shoes if they are already dancing en pointe.
Please bring the following to the audition:
* headshot (does not have to be professionally done)
* completed audition form (click to download; Pre-Pre has their own form at bottom of page)
Musical Theatre
MT JUNIOR TROUPE AUDITION (age 8-16)
These auditions are for any student who is interested in combining the arts of singing, Acting, and dance. For the audition, the student must prepare one short monologue or one short song. It is their choice. If they choose to sing a song, they should bring the accompaniment on their phone or their parents phone. The length of the audition should be less than two minutes. It will be followed by a brief interview.
MT SENIOR TROUPE & MT COMPANY AUDITION (Ages 10-18)
Students wishing to audition for these higher-level groups must register for the 11:30 singing/acting audition and must also do a dance audition. Please sign up for the Contemporary/Jazz audition in the appropriate age group, and students will be assessed on their dance skills for Musical Theatre groups as well. (For Junior Troupe the dance audition is not required)

Cannot Make or Missed an Audition?
Most auditions for Hawkins companies and troupes take place in March. If for some reason you will miss or have missed an audition and are still interested in one of our performing troupes or companies, please
contact the office to discuss options for working with the artistic director on a make-up.
