Alicia Niwa

Alicia Niwa is a tap dancer and instructor with 14 years of dance experience and five years of teaching experience. She is a 2026 National YoungArts Winner with Distinction in Dance and was a member of Reverb Tap Co., a pre-professional tap company under the direction of Leah Silva, from 2020–2024.
Her notable performance credits include performing at Birdland in New York City with Luke Hawkins and appearing at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion for PBS’s Christmas Eve broadcast. Alicia has also assisted at conventions including NUVO and NRG.

Alicia has earned multiple first-place overall titles at competitions including Starbound National Talent Competition, Legacy Dance Championships, and Spotlight Dance Cup, as well as scholarships to San Francisco Tap Festival, Orange County Tap Festival, and Luthier Tap Festival. She has trained with renowned tap artists including Luke Hawkins, Leah Silva, Sarah Reich, Leo Manzari, Joseph Wiggan, and Anthony Morigerato.
