Below is the Audition, Rehearsal, and Performance information for our 2nd annual Nutcracker production staged after Ron Cunningham. We look forward to having you! ​​​

Performers who are cast in the nutcracker will be

assessed a one time production fee:​

$225 for ensemble roles
$300 for lead roles

​

Required attire for all auditions and rehearsals: 

 

Female-identifying students:

- pink/flesh colored tights

- black leotard

- pink ballet shoes

- hair secured neatly in a bun

 

Male-identifying students:

- black shorts/leggings

- white t-shirt

- black ballet shoes 

- hair (if long) secured neatly in a ponytail or bun

 

Adult performers: 

• Attire that allows for freedom of movement without obscuring the body’s silhouette or apply the options above.

All performers must adhere to the specified dress code. Please note that you may visit the Hawkins Boutique if you need assistance in obtaining the required items.​​

 

What to Expect at the Auditions:

At auditions, attendees will be evaluated on technique and stage presence. There will be a $25 audition fee charged upon registration. All Casting decisions will be communicated via email by end-of-day on August 9th

 

Rehearsals:

The performers' attendance and participation in rehearsals is critical to the success of the show. The rehearsal schedule of the production can be dynamic, and at times the directors may need to make small adjustments to the schedule linked below. Attendance is required for all scheduled rehearsals and performances. 

 

Failure to fulfill the outlined commitment may result from removal from the production. Before submitting the registration form, please review the Nutcracker Rehearsal Schedule to ensure availability on the specified dates.

NUTCRACKER REHEARSAL/PERFORMANCE SCHEDULE 

 

Other Information: 

• There will be a rental fee per costume depending on the role(s) that you are cast in. This will be communicated with casting decisions on August 9th.

• Rehearsals will be held at Hawkins School of Performing Arts (118 Woodmere Rd, Folsom, CA 95630)
